In the journey of life, we are continuously being shaped by the people with whom we travel, the surrounding culture, and the circumstances of our lives. Whispering underneath these influences is the voice of the One who is always inviting us into even more profound transformation…into developing a deeper capacity for intimacy with God and with others. But at each stage of spiritual development we have different ways of understanding God, our communities, and ourselves, and have particular areas where our growth may get stuck.

Kate Rankin, a member of our community, guides us to explore these seasons of spiritual development using the influential work of Janet Hagberg and Robert Guelich in their book The Critical Journey | Stages in the Life of Faith. Greater awareness of these Stages of Faith can illuminate our own journey and enable us to better appreciate and support others on their path.
